Clare Forrest, following a career in operational management and human resources, has been a Training Consultant and Seminar Speaker since 1985, specializing in Management development, Team Building and Communication Skills. She believes that reading is a key component of effective communication, and finds that, sadly, for many people, that what should be a pleasure is actually a real chore because they read so slowly. Learning to speed read can – and does – literally transform many working lives.

A consultant, presenter and designer on many programmes Clare adopts an entertaining and highly pragmatic approach – she does not believe in quick fix theories which can’t be firmly rooted in the realities of working life. Apart from training she carries out human resource management tasks for her clients, including running assessment centres and managing individual performance development – coaching and counselling. Clare is also a hypnotherapist and NLP master and works with groups and individuals on anxiety and stress management.

Currently a reviewer and columnist for the Training Journal, Clare’s many publications include Choosing and Using Training Consultants; Warehouse Management; Time Management for Retailers; Understanding Stress and 20 Training Workshops for Listening Skills. In her spare time Clare enjoys watching National Hunt racing, cooking and swimming.
